Israel has just bombed a hospital where hundreds of wounded and refugees were taking solace. Journalists in Gaza have reported there was hardly a single body whole in the aftermath (If you can stomach it, there's a video of a father holding what remains of his child). At least 500 people killed by IOF soldiers, who planned this action, got into an airplane and dropped that bomb willingly. The deadliest attack in five wars, according to the Ministry of Health.

Israel has denied ownership of the attack and said it was a misfired Hamas rocket. Originally, they celebrated it on their social media, saying they had destroyed a Hamas target, treating the deaths like an unfortunate collateral. After international backlash, they posted videos to their social media claiming it was a Hamas rocket. The video, though, shows a second explosion 40 minutes after the airstrike, and they edited it our of their tweet in a pathetic attempt at covering up.

Israel has said multiple times that they were going to bomb hospitals. They told doctors to evacuate and leave their patients to death because they were going to bomb, namely: Al Shifa, Shuhada Al Aqsa and the Quwaiti Hospital. Al Shifa housed at least 10.000 refugees and wounded, and worked as a hub for the press because it was one of the only hospitals that still had working generators. Medical crew worked with sirens blaring to signal the hospitals were not empty. This was a purposeful massacre. These people died hungry, thirsty and in pain because of the Israeli government's cruelty.

CNN and other media outlets already tried to pin the blame on Hamas, parroting back the pathetic propaganda being sold by the IOF. Even in death, Palestinians can't be respected and are used to further their own oppression. These people's deaths are not going to be in vain. Within our lifetimes, Palestine will be free.

Take action. The Labour Party in the UK had an emergency meeting today after several councilors threatened to resign if they didn't condemn Israeli war crimes. Calling to show your complaints works.

The train is carrying officials on a lunch trip to Amoret, Missouri where they will be greeted by a transit bus to take them back to Knoche Yard in Kansas City. After the brief stop, the train continued to Hume and picked up some MoW workers and continued on its way to Shreveport. The Blue Parkway Viaduct was built in 1928 measuring 480 feet over Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and a small stream. The bridge stands at approximately 80 feet tall and consists of three main arches, with a pair of approaching arches on both ends.

Jim Hill’s ‘Born to Be’

Jim Hill is a self-taught mosaic artist who will have his first big show at age 75 in February. Because his family couldn’t afford to buy paint, Hill chose torn paper as his medium. His work concerns the history of slavery and racism in the U.S. The show, titled “Born to Be,” will feature work that goes back to the early ‘60s but also includes Hill’s latest collection “A Piece of Life,” which offers large-scale mosaics of civil rights leaders. The show opens with a reception from 6-8 p.m. Feb. 9 at Mason Fine Art.

‘Remembrance as Resistance: Sweet Auburn Rise’

Atlanta artist and activist Charmaine Minniefield’s Praise House Project has placed place site-specific art installations in locations throughout the metro Atlanta area, including 2021′s “Remembrance as Resistance: Preserving Black Narratives” in Oakland Cemetery. In honor of Black History Month 2023, the project will mount a series of site-specific public art installations, exhibitions, and programs in downtown Atlanta, along Auburn Avenue in the King Historic District. The installations will explore the history of the 1906 Race Massacre and the legacy of Black resistance.

Covering a period of 15 years, the first museum survey of the work of Brooklyn, New York-based photographer Deana Lawson is on its final tour stop at the High Museum through Feb. 19. Roswell Roots

The annual Roswell Roots festival offers a series of events honoring Black History Month and will get under way on Feb. 3 with the Black Opry Revue at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center. They’ll also stage the play “The Spirit of Harriet Tubman” as part of the Family Series on Feb. 3 and 4. I remember years back when there was a big push to rename roads from whatever they were to Martin Luther King Jr. (st. blvd. etc).  Well, my city did the same.  Found a street and changed its name to MLK.

The street they renamed? 

It had been named after the first black doctor in the county.

I was reading something about Whitestown, Indiana and my eyes nearly popped out of my head thinking it was one of THOSE comically racist towns. Nice to know, at least the name, wasn’t that.

Huge thank you to all those who participated in the November 4th March on Washington D.C. and the Baltimore Stands with Palestine Contingent. Thank you for your participation and your support, whether you provided water and food, donations for transportation, or you put on your marching shoes.

Over 300,000 people gathered Saturday at Freedom Plaza in Washington D.C. for the National March on Washington for Palestine. We must continue our work to stop genocide in Palestine! We must lift up our voices and continue our actions in the street to end all U.S. wars and occupations. Say no to U.S. troops in Haiti!

Baltimore show up for the national shut it down for Palestine — called on November 4th by the Palestinian Youth Movement and many others.

The Peoples Power Assembly is planning a major community outreach banner drop and event. Let’s cut through the war lies and broaden our movement – take our protest to Baltimore’s workers and poor. The billions of dollars spent on bombs and genocide need to be spent on safe water, housing, medical care and ending food deserts.

Peoples Power Assembly Files Complaints for Police Blocking Doors at Penn Station

Our attorney, Alex Summerfield, has filed formal complaints against both the Baltimore Police Department and Amtrak police, who blocked doors at Penn Station on November 4th in violation of our constitutional rights.
